THE SHOW MUST GO ON! Despite our inability to have in-person events in the 2020-2021 school year, NPG still managed to pull off some amazing virtual events that brought together our community and were a blast for the kids! In February, North's Got Talent!, our annual school talent show, aired as a YouTube premier event. Between light saber routines, violin performances, pogo stick jumping, and lots of dance numbers, it was certainly an evening to remember. Kids shared comments and encouragement with one another via a Zoom call that ran throughout the event. Relive the night of the epic performances by clicking below. In May, more than 50 student scientists also showed off their stuff at our school's annual STEAM Fair. (STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art + Design, and Math.) The MPR couldn't be filled with projects this time around, but we did have an amazing virtual exhibit hall and a live premier of a highlight reel video showcasing student work. THE NORTH ART SHOW Thank you to our Art in Action co-chairs and miracle-workers! Together they organized more than 100 Art in Action lessons in our classrooms this year! Students had the opportunity to get creative while sketching, painting, drawing, working with clay, wire and paper mache. Thanks to all of the parent Docents and Assistants that made these lessons come to life. At the unbelievable Art Show, those creative and artistic pieces were displayed in a setting you had to see to believe! A bakery, a magic shop, and a black light glow gallery were just a few ways student art was displayed for all to view and enjoy. STEAM FAIR WAS AMAZING! Thank you to the STEAM Leadership Team for planning and producing an EPIC night of innovation! Over 180 students participated and our community came together to celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Design and Math! Bingo Night was a BLAST! Thank you to the committee and the incredible emcees! spooky & sweet dessert table! Movie Night was a huge success and fun for the whole North Community! |
